In recent years has been committed to sending over £150,000 to the SVP there each year. The Sudanese SVP plays a vital role in helping those affected by the conflict to rebuild their lives by addressing both their immediate needs and the long-term future.
The Sudan Crisis Appeal aims to support the projects which have been developed by the SVP in Sudan. These include:
- Baby feeding programmes
- Adult vocational training
- Children’s education
- Support for orphans
- Medical treatments
In order to ensure the continuation of these projects now and in the future, the SVP has launched the Sudan Sponsorship Scheme. We believe that this is a cause which will appeal to both members and non-members of the Society
