Romanian Visit - March 2005
When the Romanian SVP National President, Erwin Tigla suggested I should bring one or two young people with me to the National Meeting, I was delighted to be able to bring Tony Lyon, our Assistant National Youth Development Officer. Tom gave a presentation on Youth SVP and also demonstrated the website during an IT lesson at a Catholic secondary school.
We also attended several meetings arranged by young members, many of whom speak excellent english. They will now be able to access the Youth SVP message board and exchange news and information with young Vincentians here in England & Wales.
In Campulang a group of young parishoners told us about their activities over the Christmas, visiting the housebound, and now with the help of Sister Jackie SP, they are preparing to form the first Youth SVP Group in Romania.
